Jesus came back, “God bless you, Simon, son of Jonah! You didn’t get that answer out of books or from teachers. My Father in heaven, God himself, let you in on this secret of who I really am. And now I’m going to tell you who you are, really are. You are Peter, a rock. This is the rock on which I will put together my church, a church so expansive with energy that not even the gates of hell will be able to keep it out.
Matthew 16:7-18 MSG
Peter, through revelation of the Holy Spirit, spoke revealed truth of who Jesus really is - the Messiah, the Christ, the King, the Savior and the Light of the World! Then Jesus said that He will establish His church upon this truth and not even the gates of hell can prevail against that revelation knowledge! This COVID-19 pandemic, whether you believe it is on purpose or not, is coming directly against the church’s function in this world- to share the Good News story of Jesus Christ and to bring His kingdom to this earth!
It is amazing to me how so many people can be in Walmart, the grocery store, Home Depot, Lowe's, in the airport and on the airplane side-by-side! Yet the church is limited to only 30% to 50% capacity! In Mexico, the church is limited to just 25% of its capacity! In the flea market, there are hundreds of people buying things left and right! Obviously, we should also practice cleanliness, and common sense methods of wisdom to keep from getting sick, something we have done for years! Yet, the church must not be ruled by those who have their own personal agenda during this special season of time. We at VCH are going forward to reach the unreached and to tell the untold of the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
I’ve been traveling throughout Mexico to hold regional pastors seminars and preach in the area churches that are just beginning to open up again. I just returned Nov.21st from Poza Rica, Veracruz. IHI staff member, Mario Zamarron, and I, met with our pastors and church members in this Gulf of Mexico coastal region. We taught the pastors for six hours “Key Ministry Points” and encouraged them to go forward. We prayed for the pastors and anointed them with oil to have fresh fire and new wine of the Holy Spirit to go forward with the great commission of Jesus Christ. We held the seminar at Pastor Jose Ortiz’s church. I preached in Tuxpan at a packed out house with Pastors Miguel and Stefany. There were 48 people who received fresh fire and anointing as I preached. Mario ministered with Pastor David in Tuxpan. We gave out rice and beans to all the families. Glory!
Mario and I traveled to Axtla de Terrazas, San Luis Potosí, to hold our minister’s training seminar with our regional indigenous pastors. There were 13 pastors and their wives who gathered together to receive encouragement and teaching during this semi-lockdown period. God moved in incredible ways as many pastors received a fresh word that lifted their spirits to continue to fight the good fight of faith. Our regional leader, Pastor Ezequiel Hernandez, is one of our five ministers out of 54, who contracted Covid. He was very critical and almost didn’t make it. He was on oxygen at his home for many days. But we thank God that He brought Ezequiel through this critical time and has restored him back to health!
We had a tremendous Friday evening service at his church in Tampochocho. The place was packed out and many people renewed their commitment to the Lord after months of not being able to attend church. We also preached at our newer pastors two mission churches. Pastor Patricio and Hilda’s newest church is on the hill above Axtla. They are using a tin roof covering to hold services next to the new property that we are purchasing to build a new church. We also prayed over the property and are believing for the remaining $5,900 to pay for the land and $54,000 to build the church.
We also purchased property in Xoloco, where Pastor Patricio lives and has another church of 55 adults and 25 children. We are believing for $45,000 to build this church building. Your help and support make all of these exciting works a wonderful reality to these humble people. -Please note yours gifts for “churches”
We also preached in our Chalchocoyo church with Pastor Guillermo whose beautiful church was built behind a giant sycamore tree. Our Evangelist Mario preached with fire that night! We also visited Pastor Mario Hernandez’s church on the side of a mountain. The country is so beautiful here full of orange orchards, banana fields and beautiful mountain rivers. We re shining the light of Jesus to these Nahuatl indigenous people in the Huasteca region.
Last month, we held our central regional
pastors seminar in the town of El Huizache,S.L.P. Regional Pastor Andres Reyes, coordinated this regional VCH Pastors seminar.
We had an incredible day of teaching these ministers scriptural truths that encouraged each one of them. We ministered in our churches in La Masita with Pastor Juan Reyes and in El Huizache. Pastor Mario and I preached in the church in Charco Cercado and visited the church in El Milagro with Pastor Edgardo. His daughter Nayeli and her husband Eladio, just had their baby girl, the day after I prayed over them for a blessed delivery!
We have 12 churches in the Matehuala region sharing the Good News of our Messiah and King.
ALTOGETHER, WE MINISTERED TO 30 PASTORS IN THESE REGIONS!
Tent Crusade Medical Clinic
During the first week of November, VCH put up its brand new 135 foot long, 50 foot wide Gospel tent! On June 30, 2020, VCH Missionary Shane Lehman (pictured on the left) and myself traveled to Miami, Oklahoma to pick up our brand new Gospel tent made by the Missionary Tent Company. Thanks to a special donation, VCH was able to purchase this special sized tent to win many souls for Christ!
Because of the Covid pandemic, everything has been delayed but finally our dreams are beginning to come true, as our white and yellow, brand new crusade tent went up! While many churches are restricted, we are coming to the people with the Light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
During the daytime, medical clinics were held and we treated 336 patients and cut hair for 125 people. We held children’s church and saw 235 come to Christ during the daytime. During the evenings, we ministered to 367 people. Of those, 52 gave their liver to Christ for the very first time! The power of God moved as we also ministered to 37 people who received physical healing for the glory of God!
We just finished our 14th and 15th construction project in Nuevo Laredo. Leticia and her family are very poor, much like everyone in their neighborhood. She has two daughters, 10 and 15 years old. As little girls they participated in our
“Saturday Children’s” ministry. They both shared that it has had a great impact on their lives. To the right is Blanca’s house.
Her husband is a fisherman. He sells the fish he catches from the Rio Grande river at the flea market. He had an operation for a trauma wound to his head and is only able to take small steps. Blanca makes tortillas to sell in their neighborhood. They have a son who is 14, who we asked to help us on the roof projects and we pay him so he can help his parents. The family attends the Tent Church Meetings at the IHI.
Dear Harvest Partner, "For a Child will be born to us, a Son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6
From December 8th-12th, we will hold our annual Christmas children’s outreaches to share
the Good News of Jesus Christ throughout the subdivisions of Nuevo Laredo and into the interior of Mexico.
In the midst of this special pandemic season, multitudes are desesperate and are searching for hope! We are continuing to help the widows, single mothers and humble families with new roofs on their houses, as well as building new homes for those that living in dilapidated shacks. We are holding crusade tent meetings to minister to the people. We are building new churches in new colonias to reach the lost for Christ and make disciples. With you help, our churches are blessing their communities once again!
On November 13th, we also held a Marriage Seminar at the IHI with our regional pastors joining us via Zoom and there were 45 couples in all! Many commented how much of a blessing it was and we all renewed our vows at the end!
Thank you for sharing the LIGHT of Jesus Christ to these who have been in darkness, void of the hope that we have through the wonderful Prince of Peace!
